Anniversary

Greetings New Hope Lutherans and Friends 

Wow!   Last week we had a moving New Hope’s 25th Anniversary.  Our fellowship facility was filled!  The table was graced with scrumptious foods, prepared by the El Buen congregation. 

Each table hosted a book attached with pictures of events and people.  We beheld a slide show of our congregation’s history. 

People were very moved by the memories and images of dear loved ones and friends who have left this mortal realm for the church triumphant.  Also, we beheld pictures of many people who have moved away and those who for whatever reason, just quit attending.  

Our beloved congregation is a welcoming and safe. We include rather than exclude.  

As we move from the 25th year, we are praying, organizing and thinking in mission terms.  New Hope does generous outreach to shelters, schools and other ministries.  We care for each other.  I predict that our congregation of the future will offer people more opportunities to explore faith issues and give their faith expression by engaging.  A second service?  Small choir?  Outreach in sustained personal and even more electronic connections.  More education! 

50 years is straight ahead.  Here we go!  A place is here for you!
