Lent on it way

Greetings New Hope Lutherans and Friends 

Epiphany season 2025 concludes on Ash Wednesday, 5 March.  Thus, the beginning of Lent.  Lent proceeds until Easter, 20 April.  The Easter Season concludes, 31 May,  as we celebrate Trinity Sunday and begin the …looooong…Pentecost Season….until Advent on 30 November, and prepare for Christmas 2025.   

Early Christians gave a precious gift;  the church calendar to order our lives and congregations around the love of Jesus.  Time marches on.

Likewise do we!   And…our beloved New Hope Lutheran Church. 

So, we have work to do for the future.   WOW!  Our buildings and facilities are excellent.  Maintenance is underway.  We are doing outreach service.  Message is heard and seen electronically.  Children are welcomed as noted by updates in our sanctuary.  We’re a busy bunch! 

What ministry priorities do we see for the future?  If we do not add growth strategies, we will move along until we gradually, dissipate;  Die off.  Reality.  

Right here.  Right now.  What bold initiatives can we enact to welcome the future?  

What’s on your heart and mind to sustain the New Hope future?  Ideas?

Think.  Pray.  Wonder.  Dialogue.  Collaborate.  Listen.  Faithfully bold and generous…..  As we are doing.  

For….the Spirit is stirring us.…
