“You could have hostility, anger, fear, unfairness about life or you can do something good with your lives; turn that pain into compassion, to do things to make the world a better place.”
Jeff Swanson has served at New Hope since the summer of 2022. As a trained interim pastor he is journeying with us during a time of transition within our congregation. Pastor Swanson has worn many hats and all of them combined make him able to see from many perspectives. Jeff is a Vietnam Veteran having served in the US Marine Corps. He then went on to study in an ELCA seminary, became a parish pastor, and later entered the US Air Force as a chaplain. Since retiring from the Air Force Jeff has taken on parish work in numerous settings but is also a spouse, a dad, a grandad, a police chaplain in Alamogordo NM, a community advocate and a rancher! We are blessed that he shares his ministry with us!
